| American Ted Ligety took final giant slalom race on Friday in Bormio and clinched discipline title. He was only seventh after the first leg but, posting a quite flawless second one, he clocked a combined time of 2 minutes, 18.04 seconds to edge Benni Raich by 0.31. Cyprien Richard of France took third 0,68 off Ligety's pace.
