Werner Heel from Italy denied Miller's third downhill win on Friday at Kvitfjell. He speeded down the Olympiabakken course in one minute, 45.73 seconds to claim his first career world cup podium. Bode Miller had to be content with a second place 0.10 seconds off the pace gaining precious points to increase his gap on Benni Raich in the challenge for the overall title. Raich finished 37th and earned no points. Klaus Kroell of Austria took third, 0.22 seconds behind.
