Non sò se postare questo topic in questa sezione o "nella baita" ; in caso mi fossi sbagliato, chiedo venia, lo potete spostare voi.
Chi vi ha stupito maggiormente per la carriera fatta; ottenendo risultati superiori alle vostre aspettative?.
Per quanto mi riguarda, non mi sarei mai aspettato la Vonn ed Hirscher tanto vincenti; ma quelli che mi hanno sorpreso maggiormente in positivo sono Tina Maze e Svindal.
Ero abbastanza piccolo e poco preparato per capire ed intendermi di sci: quando (16-17-18 anni) tra il 2003 ed il 2005 vedevo scendere questi due atleti, pensavo questi non vinceranno mai nulla.
Addirittura mi stupii vedendo Svindal 2° classificato in coppa del mondo dietro Raich nella stagione 2005/2006.
Smentito totalmente.

La sorpresa non sta nel primo .... cistava per riuscire pure il buon Feuz ....... ma in tutti quelli seguenti ...... e nel rendimento in GS |

Vero,però Hirscher a 21 anni già aveva vinto delle gare ed a 23 il primo coppone.Non credo, che lui sia stata una sorpresa quanto la Maze(anonima per anni poi nella top e la scalata al vertice) o la Stuhec in questa stagione. |

Quello che mi ha stupito di più per i risultati che è riuscito a conseguire è senza alcun dubbio Marcel Hirscher ....... pur avendo notato molto presto (sono stato il secondo dopo franz62 ...) che sarebbe stato uno dei più forti slalomisti della storia, non avrei mai pensato che riuscisse a bissare i risultati dello SL anche in GS ..... a maggior ragione vista la concorrenza che ha incontrato nella sua carriera ...... non parliamo poi del numero di coppe generali che è riuscito a racimolare ......... pur prendendole, non dico sempre ..... ma spesso sulle orecchie ..... |

Stupefacente ciò che ha fatto la Stuhec in questa stagione.2° classificata con oltre 1300, due coppette,7 vittorie,12 podi e altri piazzamenti nelle 10; senza scordare il titolo mondiale di discesa.
Chi lo avrebbe ipotizzato solamente lo scorso anno? |

Hannes Reichelt invece mi ha deluso.Ha ottenuto con quella di ieri,la 13° vittoria in carriera(non poco);però da lui e dai vari Grugger,Grubber mi attendevo una carriera migliore. |

A proposito di Ilka Stuhec, riporto qua un interessante post di FB

I promised some interesting facts about this year speed-queen Ilka Stuhec. :)
- Before this season, Ilka had 0 wins, 0 podiums. This year she won 7 races in 3 disciplines, achieved 12 podiums & is fighting for her 3rd globe of the season.
- Ilka was only 25th in Downhill standings last year.
- In less than 3 months she had more points than she had in all past 10 years put together.
- She is the only skier (male or female) this season to achieve top 15 result in all 5 disciplines.
- Ilka's team is the smallest one in the World cup cicruit: considering 30 top skiers at least. It consist of her mother (coach & preparing her skis), Grega (coach in the past 2 years) and her friend Anja as a physiotherapist in past 2 years.
- Ilka's mom had to put mortgage on their family apartment (which is a rare case in Slovenia) and borrowed quite some money so Ilka could continue competing. They managed with really little money and "were counting every cent" as she said.
- Her mom is the only woman preparing the skis in the World cup. While other skier have a small team of professionals dedicated to that, she is the only one doing it for Ilka & learnt lots on her own.
- She said they had to skip many trainins in the past. Simply because she and her mom didn't have any money left. They went to cheaper ski resorts and had to skip good pistes where best skiers get trained.
- Ilka started as a technical skier: she was a junior world champion in slalom & combination in 2007. She switched to speed disciplines later.
- Her mom had a small company but had to leave it behind so she could focus on training with Ilka.
- She was planning to quit few times in last years - just before her breaktrough happened.
- In the WC in 2015 she was the fastest on the upper part of the downhill race - but lost everything on the bottom part. Just 2 years later she managed to catch sufficient advantage on the bottom part and became the World champion.
- She is a World champion in Downhill: inherited this title from another Slovenian skier Tina Maze. Coming from a country without a single DH piste.
I think it's quite a fascinating story of how much can one achieve with so little & coming from such a small country, deep in debt because of what one does, but determined to achieve something. And it's really rewarding to see when it all pays off

credo che la stuhec batta tutti chi se l'aspettava quest'esplosione?delle atlete del passato mi studi' abbastanza l'ascesa di miei dorfmeister, tra gli uomini beh direi che l'arrivo ad alti livelli di kostelic e miller nel 2001-2002 fu abbastanza sorprendente.. |

Vogliamo parlare di Michael Walchhofer che da modesto slalomista è diventato un fenomeno in discesa!
Si sicuramante ai tempi mi soprese decisamente! |
